In 2015, world leeds agreed to 17 Global Goals - officially known as the UN's Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs. Almost a decade later, we have more work to do than ever. The 17 SDGs have the power to create a better world by 2030 – for example by ending poverty, fighting inequality and addressing the urgency of climate changes. Guided by the goals, it is now up to all of us, governments, businesses, civil societies and the general public to work together to build a better future for everyone.
But how can we, as individuals, actually work with the SDGs? Is the task not too big for any human being? - Sure, it is! However, it is with this as with other challenges: if you have to climb a mountain, do not stare at the top, but focus on your feet – and then take one step at a time.
The ERASDG partnership consists of 8 vocational schools that educate and train students in subjects within the green sector. That is why we focus especially on SDG12 (Responsible production and consumption) and SDG13 (Climate action). As suppliers of education, we also have a natural starting point in SDG4 (Quality education) – as demonstrated in the ERASDG logo.
This website is the ERASDG partnership's contribution to a better world. The way is via empowerment of our students and their teachers. We believe that others may be interested in our work, whether they are educational institutions, teachers, students, local communities, companies or public authorities. We therefore invite everyone to join and benefit from our Community of Practice - and to contribute to the joint effort.
