Living Lab is a method to innovate in complex situations with multiple stakeholders who have different, sometimes opposite interests. In the context of ERASDG, a workshop, “The Familiar Village” using Living Lab, was developed and implemented by Yuverta with the participation of ERASDG students and teachers from 4 countries. The real-life workshop challenge was prepared in close cooperation with managers Johanna and Theo Castrop. Subsequently, based on the Dutch experience, the Living Lab format was tested by Austrian ERASDG-partner Landwirtschaftliche Fachschule Krems.
For the students' work with the SDGs using the Living Lab, inspiration can be found in the following tried and tested materials:
1. A short introduction to Living Lab in 9 different languages
2. An example of a workshop program using Living Lab
3. An overview of the 4 real-life challenges that the students were faced with
4. An overview of the students’ responses to the challenges (with links to Youtube)
5. Feedback from the relevant ERASDG testing partner
